Services / Slashing

Slashing

Heavy growth, long grass, rough country, and fire-break maintenance. Slashing is the right tool when the standard mowing schedule has run too long, when seasonal growth gets ahead of you, or for fenced paddocks and acreage that have been left.

Best for

  • Acreage and rural commercial blocks
  • Fire-break maintenance ahead of summer
  • Catch-up cuts after wet seasons or staff turnover
  • Vacant blocks waiting for development

What's included in every visit

  • Slashing the agreed area to a stable height
  • Hazard check — hidden debris, animal burrows, dumped rubbish
  • Before/after photos with GPS-stamped coordinates
  • Optional follow-up mow on the same visit to tidy the finished surface

Equipment we use

  • Tractor-mounted slasher for true acreage
  • Walk-behind slasher / heavy mower for awkward areas
  • PPE and safety signage for nearby pedestrians

What's NOT included

  • Removal of slashed material (left in-situ unless quoted separately)
  • Tree removal or chainsaw work — referral only

Common questions

What length of grass can you slash?

We can handle up to about waist-high in a single pass. Anything taller, we double-pass — slower but the right way to do it.

How often do you slash fire breaks?

Typical schedule: October and again in February. We set a calendar reminder at contract sign-up.
